Job Summary
Manages the company's databases for performance, security and availability.
Key Tasks
- Install, configure and tune databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Manage backups, recovery and replication
- Control database access and permissions
- Monitor database performance and storage
- Support developers with query optimization
Responsibilities
- Data integrity and zero data loss
- Database performance and uptime
- Apply database security standards
- Test backups and recovery regularly
- Document database structures and procedures
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Computer Science, 3+ years as a DBA, relevant certifications a plus.
